Google Doodles Holidays
Millions of people come to Google to find information about holiday celebrations.
Doodles Holidays are unique religious and cultural illustrations used to set the mood of the results page.
Each Doodle is composed of two layers representing Sikhism, Hinduism, Judaism, Christianity, Buddhism, and other cultural holidays.

Obon / Buddhism

Passover / Judaism

Vesak / Buddhism
Sketches
For each celebration, we created two sketch options that approached the celebration from different perspectives. Before the coloring stage, we selected one option that we felt people would connect with most.

Doodles 2.0
We focus on the action of leaving offerings around a representative object. The subsequent taps show hands sharing a different gift on the altar. Then, flowers will drop from the top on the last tap until the screen is full.
The final proposal is a Layered framework and behavior library that can be used to create delightful and meaningful moments showcasing a wide range of religious holidays.
