Google Search Hotlines
This project aims to make the current search for suicide and self-harm experience more visual, empathetic, warmer, supportive, and actionable to help users who express suicide or self-harm intents but are not yet ready to call a crisis hotline.
Illustration is a great way to kickstart the experience, with this resource we generate a feeling of closeness and soft down the whole page, thus inviting people to start the conversation.
Our final delivery was an experience that unfolds an empathetic conversation and de-escalate negative emotions through the intimacy of the UI and the closeness of the illustrations

The Illustrations
We created a genderless character with neutral expressions with actions that represent the feelings that people are going through. Additionally, the proposal is based on gradients to represent a person's path from darkness to hope. Also, gradients allow to explore a wide range of emotions and feelings.

Additional Illustrations and spot icons
We created a set of hands to complements de Ui and Spot icons to bring people’s attention to certain key modules. Additionally, we used abstract backgrounds help people relate to sounds in their way of finding calm.

Illustrated Modules
Help people to identify their feelings. It is not easy to recognize our emotions in any given moment and it is even harder when we are in a low point of your lives; the use of different shapes and colors would be helpful in this case

Modular design that helps build a tailored experience depending on the search result of the person in need. The modules come together to create a full experience.

Initial explorations
In the first phase of the project, we explored a wide range of shapes and colors; this is a glance of all the work we did and how it conveys into the final proposal.
